A citizen named Elşən Ağayev observed that the chicken he bought from one of the stores changed color while cooking.
He stated that after the chicken was cooked, it turned pink, and after eating it, he experienced health problems: "I bought two chickens, brought them home and cooked them. The color turned pink. After eating, I felt unwell and experienced nausea. When I bought it from the market, they said the chicken was fresh," he noted.
The statement from the manufacturer company regarding the matter was as follows:
"We investigated the reasons for the chicken product being pink in color. This can be caused by storage conditions, nutrition, and cooking method. Mainly, due to natural pigments in chickens fed with corn, both the color of the meat and the tone of the broth may appear pink when boiling. This is especially observed more frequently in young chickens or when the product is thrown directly into boiling water. This is a natural process and poses no health risk. Once the chicken is fully cooked, it can be safely consumed. If there is no foreign odor or signs of spoilage such as gray or green coloring in the product, the pink appearance is only a normal color change that occurs during cooking."
