Israel has launched a ground operation in the Gaza Strip.
According to "Report" citing "ABC News," this was reported by the Chief of Staff of the Israel Defense Forces, Lieutenant General Eyal Zamir.
"We are preparing to intensify strikes as part of the operation, and this is precisely why we have called you here. We have already started a ground operation in Gaza," Zamir said in an address to reservists who have been called up for military service in recent weeks.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also addressed the reservists on Tuesday.
"I want to express my deep gratitude to you — the soldiers of the Israel Defense Forces, the reservists, and your families. We are at a decisive stage right now. I believe in you, I trust you, and the entire nation supports you," Netanyahu said in his video address.
