The Iranian ambassador was given one week.

Australia has accused Iran of carrying out two antisemitic arson attacks in Sydney and Melbourne and has given the ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran seven days to leave the country.

Medianews.az reports that Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said that the Australian Security Intelligence Organisation has gathered credible intelligence indicating that Iran organized at least two attacks.

"These are unprecedented and dangerous acts of aggression organized by a foreign state on Australian soil," Albanese stated at a press conference.

He said: "These are attempts to undermine social cohesion and sow discord within our society."

According to Albanese, Iran tried to conceal its involvement in the attacks on a kosher restaurant in Sydney and the "Adas Israel" synagogue in Melbourne last year.

The Prime Minister added that Australia has suspended the operations of its embassy in Tehran, and all diplomats are safe in a third country. He also stated that the government will designate Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps as a terrorist organization.

Australia's Foreign Minister Penny Wong declared that Ambassador Ahmad Sadeghi and three Iranian officials must leave the country within seven days.
