A 16-year-old girl escaped death thanks to the iPhone.
Milli.Az reports that in Pennsylvania, USA, 16-year-old Linzi Leskovak fell asleep behind the wheel and had a serious accident. Her life was saved by the iPhone's "Crash Detection" system.
On August 2, after taking her friend home, the young girl fell asleep behind the wheel and crashed her car into a pole. As a result, the car became completely unusable, and Linzi remained unconscious inside. The phone recorded the accident and automatically called 911, sending the location of the crash to emergency services.
This feature, available on Apple's iPhone 14 and later models, detects severe collisions, first emits a loud warning signal, and if there is no response, automatically calls for help after 30 seconds.
Linzi survived the accident with serious injuries. Her mother stated that if it weren't for the help of the iPhone, her daughter might have died from blood loss.
