Person wanted through Interpol line to Azerbaijan to be delivered

Following the request of the General Prosecutor's Office to the Ministry of Justice of Montenegro and the submission of the documents required in accordance with international procedures, the Podgorica Supreme Court has agreed to the transfer of Azerbaijani citizen Hidayat Suleymanov Nemat oghlu to our country under a simplified extradition procedure.

Medianews.az reports that this was stated by the General Prosecutor's Office.

It was reported that in a criminal case under investigation by the Sumgait city police department, Hidayat Suleymanov is suspected of fraudulently deceiving the victim by presenting himself as an official in order to seize another person's property through abuse of trust and fraud. He falsely promised to handle all matters, including construction of a house on a land plot in the name of the victim's mother and obtaining permits from state authorities, thereby causing significant damage to the victim.

For this reason, a decision was made to indict Hidayat Suleymanov for the crime of fraud, and since he evaded investigation and went into hiding, an international search was announced for him through the National Interpol Bureau in Baku. As a result of operational-search measures, he was located and detained in Montenegro.

Currently, measures are being taken by the Penitentiary Service of the Ministry of Justice to bring Hidayat Suleymanov to our country.

At the same time, the General Prosecutor's Office continues close cooperation with foreign partner organizations, including Interpol, to locate persons wanted abroad and to ensure their transfer to the Republic of Azerbaijan.
