A sentence has been passed on the person who stole approximately 11 thousand manat from an entrepreneur's "Range Rover" car in Baku.
Medianews.az reports that the court reviewed the criminal case against Royal Abbasov, born in 1992 in the village of Khojavend in the Agjabadi district, on charges under Article 177.2.4 (theft causing significant damage) of the Criminal Code.
It has been revealed that Royal Abbasov stole money from the car of an entrepreneur named Bakhtiyar, who is engaged in the transportation and sale of construction materials within the country.
Specifically, the entrepreneur ate at a restaurant near the Khirdalan roundabout in the Absheron district, consumed some alcoholic beverage, and then wanted to go home by his "Range Rover." Royal Abbasov, who is an acquaintance of the entrepreneur, drove him as a sober driver to his home located in Sabit Orucov street, Khatai district, Baku city.
Investigation established that the accused secretly embezzled money totaling approximately 11 thousand manat from the entrepreneur's car, consisting of 3,500 US dollars and 5,050 manats. He explained committing this act by stating that he and his mother owed money to the bank.
In court, the victim stated that the damage inflicted upon him has been fully compensated and he has no complaints or claims against Royal Abbasov. By the court's verdict, R. Abbasov was sentenced to 1 year, 5 months, and 26 days of restriction of liberty. He will serve his sentence under electronic monitoring (electronic bracelet). //Qaynarinfo.az
