Singer Gunel Alekberova, known by the nickname "Pishik," drew attention with her statement.
According to Milli.Az, the artist stated that attending gatherings late at night is not a problem for her. Gunel Alekberova said that even if invited to sing at 3 a.m., she would not refuse:
"I can go sing at 3 a.m. and earn my money, why not? They were all house girls, house daughters-in-law. If my makeup is intact, I will go. There are gatherings that take place late at night. A woman can sing at a gathering with men at 3 a.m., there are women there too."
The singer added that many artists perform in private rooms until morning and there is nothing unusual about it. According to her, she sometimes goes to such gatherings wearing sportswear and a cap:
"Many singers are at cabinet gatherings until morning. I also go wearing sportswear and a cap, sing, and earn my money."
Gunel Alekberova's remarks were not received unequivocally on social networks and sparked widespread discussions.
