Experts have explained that dry air at home can cause a number of health problems.
According to them, low humidity levels dry out the nasal mucosa, which leads to weakened immunity and an increased risk of frequent colds and flu.
At the same time, dry air accelerates the development of diseases such as skin dryness, allergies, and atopic dermatitis. It is also reported that excessive dry air facilitates the easy spread of mold spores in the environment, which can worsen asthma, bronchitis, and other inflammatory diseases.
Experts note that conditions such as eye and skin dryness, inflammation, as well as weakened immune system, are observed more frequently precisely in dry air. As a result, health problems may increase in sensitive individuals in such an environment.
Doctors recommend maintaining indoor humidity levels between 40-60 percent, emphasizing that this is important for both the respiratory tract and overall health. /Axşam.az
