Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held a meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron in South Africa within the framework of the G20 Leaders Summit.
Telegraph reports that during the meeting, Turkey-France bilateral relations, regional and global issues were discussed.
Erdoğan emphasized the importance of mutual steps for the development of relations between the two countries.
The Turkish President noted that preserving the ceasefire achieved in Gaza and delivering humanitarian aid to the region is important. He recalled that the only way to sustainable peace in the region is the two-state solution and stated that Turkey continues its efforts in this direction.
Erdoğan also stressed that diplomatic opportunities should be fully utilized for the war between Ukraine and Russia to end with a just and lasting peace.
