The top two teams from each group and the best 8 third-placed teams will advance to the Round of 16.
When points are equal, the result of the match between the teams is the main criterion. The other criteria are: goal difference, number of goals scored, least official warnings (yellow and red cards), and the team’s current FIFA ranking.
The Round of 16 is scheduled for June 28 to July 4, the Round of 8 for July 4-7, the Quarterfinals July 9-12, the Semifinals July 14-15, and the third-place match and final on July 19.
