In Kazakhstan, three "Brugge" fans were punished in the Champions League for wearing beachwear themed on the "Borat" film at the match against "Kairat".
Publika.az reports that videos spread on social networks after the game. In those scenes, "Brugge" fans were wrapped in bright yellow beach costumes in the stands. The costumes resemble the outfit worn by the main character portrayed by Sacha Baron Cohen in the film "Borat".
Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan Sanjar Adilov stated that an administrative case has been opened on the fact of petty hooliganism in a public place while intoxicated: "The individuals have been held administratively liable. There is a court decision for their administrative detention for five days."
It should be noted that the UEFA Champions League match held in Astana city ended with a 4:1 victory for the Belgian team. "Kairat" lost the chance to advance to the next stage of the tournament.
