The criminal case against individuals accused of theft from apartments in the Sabunçu district has been concluded.
"Telegraf" reports that the accused thieves are Çərkəz Abdullayev, born in 2005, and his uncle, Şahid Abdullayev, born in 1991.
According to the accusation, the defendants committed theft from two private houses in the Sabunçu district. According to the plan, Şahid Abdullayev came near the houses with his underage daughter and checked whether the doors were open or not. After determining that no one was at home, he informed Çərkəz Abdullayev. Çərkəz Abdullayev then entered the houses and committed theft. During this time, Şahid Abdullayev and his daughter guarded the surroundings.
By taking his underage daughter with him, Şahid Abdullayev tried to avoid suspicion by creating the appearance of begging.
The gang members stole gold jewelry worth more than 20,000 manats in total from the two apartments. They sold part of the stolen gold piece by piece and shared the money among themselves. They buried and hid a portion of the unsold gold.
The accused only partially admitted guilt regarding the announced charges. Şahid Abdullayev stated that he accepts responsibility for only one episode.
In his statement, he emphasized that his underage daughter had no involvement in the theft acts.
By the verdict of the Sabunçu District Court, both individuals were sentenced to 2 years of imprisonment.
