In Mexico, on March 25, after the collapse of the dam holding the gold mining waste, the third of the four workers trapped in the flooded mine was found.
Medianews.az reports that there were a total of 25 miners in the mine.
The first worker was rescued after 5 days, the second was found dead. The third – 42-year-old Francisco Zapata – remained underground for 14 days. He attracted the rescuers' attention by signaling with a flashlight and after a 20-hour operation, he was brought to the surface and taken to the hospital.
His condition is stable. The search for the fourth miner continues.
