Chairman of the Press Council Rəşad Məcid has reacted to the news about the hospitalization of People's Artist Rasim Balayev.
Rəşad Məcid said in a statement to Medianews.az:

Now we have witnessed the spread of a false report about our beloved People's Artist, one of the living classics of Azerbaijani cinema, Rasim Balayev supposedly being hospitalized. Teacher Rasim is undergoing a physiotherapy course due to a leg problem and, thankfully, his condition is good; there is no reason for concern.
We once again ask media representatives and social network users to try to behave with the utmost sensitivity when spreading such information about people who have authority in public opinion. If such news is spread deliberately with malicious intent, there is no justification for it. Let us be human!”
