Magnetic storm in the next 1 week Is it expected?

In the coming days, the level of geomagnetic activity will vary between 2-3.5 points. Although this indicator is slightly higher compared to the normal background, no serious magnetic storm is expected.

Medianews.az, citing BAKU.WS, reports that according to experts' assessments, the probability of a calm state is 43%, the probability of minor disturbances is 45%, and the probability of a strong magnetic storm is only 12%.

Nevertheless, people sensitive to weather may feel mild headaches and fatigue during this period. The general condition is not at a level to cause concern.

Recall that on April 23, the Sun recorded two strongest flares (X2.5). These events are considered the most significant eruptions since the February 4 event, which was one of the strongest in the last 25 years. During both flares, large plasma clouds were ejected into space, but since their direction was not towards the Earth, no danger arose for our planet. Scientists state that solar activity is still ongoing, and new flares are possible, but Earth is currently not in the risk zone.

According to initial forecasts, on April 28-29 the geomagnetic situation will be stable and classified as "green level." However, on April 30, a 5-point (G1 class) magnetic storm is expected. That day is characterized as a "red level." On May 1, although the storm will weaken, the magnetosphere will still remain active (4 points, "orange level"). From May 2 to 6, a relatively calm period (approximately 3 points) is again forecasted.
