The registration process for students admitted to higher education institutions will begin in the respective universities two days later.
In what form will the registration be conducted? Is it necessary for students and their parents to come to Baku and other cities, universities in advance for the registration?
I remind you that for many years, student registration was carried out both electronically on the ETN portal and simultaneously by collecting paper documents at the university.
However, this parallel process was ended 3 years ago. A few years ago, ETN, IRIA, and AzTU initiated stopping the collection of paper documents.
Currently, the registration of all students admitted to higher education institutions across the country is conducted completely electronically, only on the digital resource of ETN, at portal.edu.az.
No paper documents are required from students; they log into their own accounts and see all the necessary documents-information in their personal cabinet and simply confirm them.
It is forbidden for universities to conduct parallel registration, require paper documents, especially certificates, or request certificates.
Persons authorized by the university administration can obtain the necessary data regarding new students by accessing the ETN portal.
Monitoring conducted in previous years showed that although a small number, some universities organized parallel registration and even required paper documents from students for registration.
I recall that Minister Emin Amrullayev explained that this is unacceptable.
I wonder if this year there will be universities that conduct parallel registration and require paper documents, certificates?
Observations show that so far universities are directing students to the ETN portal for registration on their social resources.
I hope we will not encounter parallel and paper-based registration. We will continue monitoring this. It would also be useful for the media to keep this issue on the agenda.

We repeat once again that the registration of students to universities is ONLY conducted on the digital platform portal.edu.az.
It is prohibited for universities to require paper documents, certificates, or any certificates, etc.
P.S. I remind you that although transferring education documents (diploma, certificate, etc.) to digital form is envisaged in the legislation, since the government has not yet approved the relevant regulations, ETN has not been able to realize this yet.
