New details have emerged regarding the armed attack carried out at a school in the Kahramanmaraş city of Turkey.
According to Medianews.az, G.İ., a classmate of İsa Aras Mersinli who carried out the attack, gave striking statements about his behavior.
According to the student, Mersinli often exhibited strange and disturbing actions: “When he got upset about something in class, he would stab his hand or arm with a pen, and his desk would be covered in blood. His bag was even stained with blood. There were even times when he tried to strangle himself.”
G.İ. stated that the attacking student did not have a close circle of friends and it was noticeable that he had psychological problems. It was noted that he often cried in class and teachers repeatedly took him to see a psychologist.
According to the classmate’s claim, Mersinli had told some students a few days before the attack that he would carry out an attack at the school with a gun. However, these words were not taken seriously and were regarded as a joke.
It should be recalled that during the attack the student entered the school with weapons belonging to his father and killed 8 students and 1 teacher. After the incident, people coming to the school place flowers and carnations in the area and leave notes in memory of those who lost their lives.
