The State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) has signed its third production sharing agreement abroad.
Medianews.az reports that the agreement was signed with the Italian energy company "Eni S.p.A." This agreement concerns acquiring a 10% share in the development project of the "Baleine" oil and gas field located in the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire.
Previously, SOCAR joined an oil production project in the United Arab Emirates with a 3% share in May 2024, and a gas production project in Israel with a 10% share in January 2025.
