The most snowfall in the northern region of Azerbaijan has occurred in the village of Qırız in Quba. Here, the snow depth reaches 16 centimeters.
From the Northeast Regional Hydrometeorological Center located in Quba, it was reported to AZERTAC's regional correspondent that the lowest temperature in the northern districts (-11 degrees) was recorded in the village of Xınalıq in Quba.
Currently, it continues to snow throughout the entire northern region.
Although heavy snowfall has made it difficult for vehicles to travel on roads leading to remote villages of Quba district, all highways in all directions are currently open.
Local management shift brigades of the Azerbaijan State Agency for Automobile Roads, as well as road police officers, are being deployed to areas where difficulties are experienced on the roads.
Currently, shift brigades equipped with heavy machinery are operating on the Quba-Qusar and Quba-Xınalıq roads. However, the use of the Quba-Xınalıq road in snowy weather is not recommended for inexperienced drivers, those unfamiliar with the area, or drivers whose vehicles are not appropriately equipped for the weather conditions.
