For proper weight measurement during Ramadan the most suitable time has been announced

The change in the diet regimen during Ramadan causes weight gain or loss in many people.

According to Medianews.az, experts state that the time to step on the scale carries special importance in order to get accurate results.

It is not recommended to step on the scale before Iftar. Due to fasting during the day, there is a loss of fluids and minerals in the body, which can distort the actual weight indicator.

Weighing immediately after morning imsak is also not accurate. Since the digestion process is not complete and there is excess fluid in the body, the result is not precise.

The most suitable time – is to step on the scale about 10–11 hours after imsak. At this time, the indicator is considered more realistic.

Experts also point out that weighing during women’s menstruation period can give misleading results. Since fluid retention in the body increases during this period, the scale does not reflect the actual indicator. Women on a diet are advised to weigh themselves 2-3 days after their menstruation ends.

Doctors advise balanced nutrition throughout Ramadan and regular, but properly timed measurement to control weight.
