We understand that it is a very great responsibility. We will try to fight well and make our fans happy.
According to Milli.Az, this was stated by Qarabağ's head coach Gurban Gurbanov in an interview with the club's press service while evaluating the opponents they will face in the UEFA Champions League League stage.
"First of all, I want to thank our fans once again. I thank each of them for the support they showed, the atmosphere they created, and their cheerleading during the playoff return match against Ferencváros at the stadium. Our fans deserved to see the Champions League League stage. I am very happy for them that this season they will watch at least four Champions League matches live in Baku. They will also have the chance to watch at least four away matches on television," said the head coach.
Gurban Gurbanov also shared his thoughts about the opponents in the League stage:
"All the teams we will face are very serious opponents. They are clubs with deep roots and history in their countries. Liverpool, Chelsea, Ajax, Napoli, as well as others like Benfica, Eintracht, Copenhagen, and Athletic are all strong teams well known to everyone.
We will try to prepare well for these matches. Because this tournament is at a completely different level. The excitement in the Champions League is several times greater. Here, the power, speed, and the progression of the game are completely different. We understand that there is a very big responsibility. We will try to fight well and to please our fans."
It should be noted that in the League stage, our team will play away against Liverpool (England), Benfica (Portugal), Napoli (Italy), and Athletic (Spain), and at home against Chelsea (England), Eintracht (Germany), Ajax (Netherlands), and Copenhagen (Denmark).
