An accident caused by a quad bike occurred in the vicinity of Qımılqazma village in the Quba district, resulting in a tragedy.
The Main State Traffic Police Department informed Lent.az that, according to initial information, the quad bike driven by 27-year-old Elçin Yusif oğlu Yusifov, a resident of Baku city, collided with a stone fence. As a result, the driver died at the scene due to severe injuries sustained. An investigation into the incident is underway.
The department emphasized that recently, the widespread use of quad bikes in recreation and tourism areas has raised serious concerns due to the failure to comply with safety rules during their operation. Specifically, the operation of such vehicles without considering speed limits and road conditions poses a real danger to life and health and sometimes causes road accidents that result in fatalities.
It must be noted that due to their structural characteristics, quad bikes are vehicles with limited stability, and irresponsible driving of them poses a high risk to the driver. It is also reminded that operating quad bikes on public roads is only permitted for individuals who hold the relevant driving license.
The Main State Traffic Police Department once again draws attention to the fact that the strict adherence to safety rules, paying attention to speed limits and road conditions during the operation of this type of vehicle—usually used in difficult terrain, mountainous areas—is of great importance in preventing possible serious road traffic accidents.
