The Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, made a harsh statement amid the ongoing tension in the region.
According to Medianews.az, he wrote this on his "X" social media account.
"Homeland or death! Any aggression against the territory of Iranian islands will disrupt all calm. We will abandon all restrictions and flood the Persian Gulf with the blood of the occupiers. Trump is responsible for the blood of U.S. soldiers," Ghalibaf wrote.
It should be recalled that on February 28, Israel’s Defense Minister Israel Katz announced that the Israeli Defense Forces had carried out a preemptive strike against Iran. Later, U.S. President Donald Trump stated that his country also took part in the military operation against Iran.
In response, Iran fired dozens of ballistic missiles at Israel. The Israeli Defense Forces confirmed the shootings; sirens sounded within the country, and air defense systems were activated.
On March 1, Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei announced that he was killed during the attacks.
Iran launched missile strikes against most of the neighboring countries where U.S. military bases are located. Consequently, the airspace in those countries was temporarily closed. //Oxu.Az
