The Tagansky District Court of the Russian capital has chosen detention as a preventive measure for Mammadh Agayev, the former director of the Moscow Satire Theater.

Agayev is charged under Article 159, Part 4 of the Criminal Code (especially large-scale fraud). He faces a prison sentence of up to 10 years. Freezing orders have been placed on the accounts of Agayev and his close relatives.
