A new operation has been conducted within the scope of the narcotics investigation involving celebrities in Turkey.
Medianews.az reports that the Turkish press has released information regarding this.
Based on the information received, digital materials under investigation, and other evidence obtained within the framework of the investigation led by the Bakırköy Prosecutor's Office, substantial suspicions have arisen regarding some well-known individuals’ use of narcotic and psychotropic substances.
As part of the investigation, detention orders were issued against 25 individuals. Officers from the Istanbul Provincial Gendarmerie Command have conducted operations at a total of 25 locations starting from 7:00 AM in Istanbul's Beşiktaş, Sarıyer, Beyoğlu, Kağıthane, and Üsküdar districts, as well as in Muğla.
As a result of the operation, 14 suspects have been detained so far. Among those arrested are singer Mabel Matiz, actors Feyza Civelek and Onur Tuna, as well as businessman Volkan Bahçekapılı.
Additionally, search warrants have been issued for a number of individuals including Serenay Sarıkaya, Berkay Şahin, Tan Taşçı, Yağmur Ünal, and Mirgün Sırrı Cabas.
Investigation activities are ongoing.
