"The Putin regime and almost the entire Russian media are conducting an intense campaign against the Solovyov-Simonyan affiliated Nikol Pashinyan." This was stated to Medianews.az by media expert, Professor Qulu Məhərrəmli.
He said that ahead of the parliamentary election held in Armenia on June 7, the Russian side prepared and disseminated nearly 400 fake video materials (clips, calls, "exposing" videos, etc.) against the government led by Nikol Pashinyan:
"According to information, the black PR campaign against Pashinyan is managed by the Strategic Partnership and Cooperation Directorate of the Putin administration. The publication 'The Insider' reports that this organization's activities are overseen by Sergey Kiriyenko, the first deputy head of the Putin administration. In other words, the mischief is being conducted at the state level."
According to Q. Məhərrəmli, despite all Russia's efforts, Nikol Pashinyan is running an effective election campaign and is far ahead of his Moscow-oriented rivals in the rating charts.
