In the month of Ramadan, Turkish communities always traditionally place tea on the table at the pre-dawn meal time.
According to Medianews.az, experts state that tea consumed at the pre-dawn meal reduces the body's fluid balance and causes thirst throughout the day.
Hot tea drunk at the pre-dawn meal forces the body to sweat more. This sweating is not like the sweating that occurs during exercise; the body suffers fluid loss and the feeling of thirst intensifies throughout the day.
Fluid loss can also increase the risk of kidney stones. It is better to drink tea after breaking the fast, but tea is not recommended at the pre-dawn meal.
