Famous artist İbrahim Tatlıses made scandalous statements about his son Ahmet Tatlıses and daughter Dilan Çıtak, stating that he has disinherited both children from his estate.
The artist claimed that his son Ahmet Tatlıses and former assistant Şule Yazar sold five of his houses in Manisa without his knowledge and took over his properties including those in İzmir.
Speaking harshly against his children, Tatlıses said, "I will not leave even a chair for Dilan and Ahmet; they are not deserving." He only expressed satisfaction with his other daughter Zübeyde Melek, emphasizing that in difficult times only Melek stood by him.
Dilan Çıtak reacted to her father's words by saying, "I needed fatherhood morally, not financially." Tatlıses' former wife Ayşegül Yıldız intervened in the events and described assistant Şule Yazar's acquisition of a large fortune in a short period as suspicious. Yıldız called for an investigation by MASAK (Financial Crimes Investigation Board) to uncover how the properties were taken over. (lent.az)
