Mass plasma ejections have been recorded on the Sun by coronagraphs. The source of the events is new spots located on the side of the Sun that is not visible from Earth (the far side) and the reactivation of the 4436th active group.
This information was published on the Telegram channel of the Space Research Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
According to experts, the recorded processes currently do not pose a threat to Earth. Although the large spots formed on the far side of the Sun have now appeared on the side facing Earth, they have not yet shown activity. Observations by the Solar Orbiter have shown that fragmentation processes are occurring on the Sun's surface in those areas. This increases the likelihood that they are not accumulating strong energy and may have the character of “weak remnants.”
Scientists note that it is still too early to draw conclusions, but current data indicates no direct danger. The probability of strong X-class flares occurring is estimated at 5-10%, which is considered a low risk indicator.
Overall, researchers state that strong magnetic storms are not expected in the coming days. The situation on the Sun is being constantly monitored./publika.az
