"Imagine Ebru Gündeş became famous 3 years before me. We are in the same company. She released albums before me. But she never performed in any restaurant. After my performances, that changed. She started saying, 'Invite me to such and such club too.' I embrace everyone. I told İbrahim Tatlıses that Ebru wants to work with us. One week Ebru performed, the next week I did. Then the venue manager came and said that Yılmaz is our main soloist. After that, Ebru showed all kinds of hostility towards me."
