The list of schools where admission to the first grade is conducted through competition has been announced.
Medianews.az reports that the State Agency for Preschool and General Education has released information about this.
These include the Baku European Lyceum, the Republican Art Gymnasium, and the first grades of both Azerbaijani and Russian sections of the Bulbul Secondary Specialized Music School, where children's admission is conducted through competition.
No priority advantages are taken into account during the admissions process in these schools.
Admission to the first grades of the Elite Gymnasium named after I. Afandiyev, the school-lyceum complex under Baku Slavic University, the full secondary school No. 23 named after T. Hasanov, the Education Complexes No. 132-134, the school-lyceum No. 6 named after T. Ismayilov, and the Russian section of the "Zangi" Lyceum is conducted through competition without priority advantages.
Admission to the first grades taught in Azerbaijani at Baku European Lyceum, the Republican Art Gymnasium, and Bulbul Secondary Specialized Music Schools is carried out based on the opinion of competition commissions organized to check the special preparations of children.
Admission to the first grades of the Russian sections of these educational institutions is conducted based on the opinion of interview and competition commissions organized respectively to check oral speech skills in that language and the special preparations of children.
