A number of structural changes have been implemented in the executive authorities located in Baku city.
Medianews.az, citing Manshet.az, reports that after the changes, several departments in the executive authorities were abolished and renamed as sectors. The director positions of the abolished departments were assigned to the deputy heads of the executives. From now on, the deputy heads of the executives will carry out the duties of both deputy and department director positions simultaneously.
The abolished departments are as follows: territorial-organizational affairs department, socio-political affairs department, analysis of socio-economic development department, architecture and construction department, and district economic affairs department.
All the authority of the heads of these departments has been transferred to the deputy head of the executive. Under these departments, the position of sector director has been established. Following the structural changes implemented, a number of personnel reforms have also been carried out within the executive authorities.
