In January-July of this year, fruit and vegetable exports from Azerbaijan amounted to 505 million 945.75 thousand US dollars and 490 thousand 210.91 tons.
Medianews.az, citing the statistics of the State Customs Committee, reports that compared to the same period of 2024, the value of exported products increased by 31.8% and the volume by 33%.
The share of fruit and vegetables in the export of main non-oil products originating from Azerbaijan is 27.17%.
In July, 90 million 649.86 thousand US dollars worth of 88 thousand 210.45 tons of fruit and vegetables were exported from the country, which is 1.8 times and 2 times higher, respectively, compared to the same month last year.
In the first 7 months of this year, Azerbaijan conducted trade operations worth 28 billion 841.8 million US dollars with foreign countries. This is 7.25% more than in the same period last year. The foreign trade turnover comprised 15 billion 227 million US dollars in exports and 13 billion 614.8 million US dollars in imports. In the last year, exports decreased by 5.4%, while imports increased by 26.15%.
