People's Artist Afaq Beshirqizi has undergone surgery.
Medianews.az reports that the actress's doctor Turab Gasimov stated in an interview with Moderator.az that although the surgery was risky, it was successfully completed:
"Ms. Afaq's surgery was successful. It was somewhat risky. Postoperative examinations also indicate that everything is fine. She can move her legs normally. Ms. Afaq had compression in her spinal cord. She had undergone surgery before as well. She will need rehabilitation for some time. She will benefit from it shortly.
This was a long-term problem for Ms. Afaq. When a problem is long-term, its healing can take a long time. Let us hope she recovers as soon as possible. I hope that depending on her recovery in two days, she will be discharged from the hospital. I have come specially from Germany to operate on Ms. Afaq. I will return on Saturday."
The People's Artist also spoke about her health condition after the surgery:
"The surgical operation took place yesterday morning at 10 o'clock. In the evening at 8 o'clock, with the help of the doctor, I stood up and walked. This is the greatest joy for me. Until now, I have undergone 14 surgeries on various parts of my body, but I have never applied to foreign doctors."//Oxu.Az
