US President Donald Trump has reduced Washington's trade relations with nearly 40% of the world's states through his tariff policy.
Oxu.Az reports that this was informed by the "RIA Novosti" agency citing data from US customs authorities.
According to the statistics familiar to the agency, from January to October 2025, the US reduced commodity turnover with 86 of its 232 trade partners, which constitutes 37% of all jurisdictions.
The sharpest decrease was recorded with the Gaza Strip, with trade turnover dropping 177 times to $2.6 thousand. Countries with significant decreases include African states - Eritrea (-88.8%), CAR (-68.1%), Tanzania (-63.4%), as well as Greenland (-86.6%), Monaco (-67.5%), and Bosnia and Herzegovina (-60%), among 12 European countries.
In East Asia, trade turnover decreased most with Laos (-54%), Brunei (-24.2%), and China (-23.2%). In Central Asia, this decrease was recorded in Mongolia (-43.6%), Tajikistan (-29.3%), and Kazakhstan (-15.7%). In the Middle East, the decline affected Yemen (-55.9%) and Iran (-38.5%).
