According to the information, the armed person first attacked the social insurance office located in the Kerameikos district. He injured one employee of the office.
According to the police, the suspect then took a taxi to the Court of Appeals in the Ambelokipi district, where he shot four more people.
The Greek media wrote that the person who opened fire is an 89-year-old man.
The suspect fled the scene and left his weapon inside the court building. Immediately after that, the building was evacuated.
Police are conducting operations at both locations. All injured individuals have been hospitalized. It has been reported that their injuries are mainly to the leg area.
