Today, on January 20 at 12:00, throughout the entire territory of Azerbaijan, the memory of the January 20 martyrs was honored with a one-minute silence.
Transport movement was halted, signals were given from ships, cars, and trains, and as a sign of mourning, the State Flag of the Republic of Azerbaijan was lowered in cities, districts, villages, and settlements across the country.
It should be noted that in connection with the 36th anniversary of the Bloody January tragedy, the memory of the martyrs is commemorated throughout Azerbaijan and in several foreign countries, and memorial ceremonies related to the January 20 events are held. Assistance is provided to the families of those who were martyred during the January 20 tragedy.
Starting from the morning hours of January 20, those visiting the Martyrs’ Lane respectfully honor the memory of the heroic sons of the Motherland and lay fresh flowers on their graves.
