The details of the fire incident that occurred in the residential building located on Məhəmməd Xiyabani street in the Yasamal district of the capital have been revealed.
According to witnesses of the incident, negligence caused the fire:
"There was a gas leak from below, and someone threw a cigarette from above. The fire started from the cigarette, there is no other reason. Each house is inhabited, four rooms burned."
The victim whose apartment burned, İbrahim Məmmədov, described the incident as follows:
"I was at work, the neighbors told me that the house was on fire. The flame rose from the bottom to the top. My child was also at work, on duty at that time. Neighbors say there was a gas leak below, and the flame rose from the balcony."
