We are considering making the admission process for the state program for education abroad even more difficult.
These words were spoken by Minister of Science and Education Emin Amrullayev on AzTV's "Target" program.
The minister stated that the number of applicants for the education abroad program was nearly 900 this year:
"This made the selection process extremely difficult. Because when there is only one spot between two very good candidates, someone inevitably remains out. We try to select the best. Of course, interviews are also conducted in this process. But it must be admitted that any interview is somewhat subjective."
E. Amrullayev emphasized that they are trying to minimize the subjectivity he mentioned:
"We want to establish a system so that the quality of those admitted to the programs is based on predetermined high standards. As a result, approximately 500 of the best candidates will be selected. For this, we plan to make the admission process even more difficult and direct applicants to the highest-level universities."
"I am confident that this program will be one of the main pillars of Azerbaijan’s independence and development. Because those individuals, after completing their education abroad, will return to Azerbaijan in five, ten, fifteen, or even twenty years and achieve significant accomplishments in both the public and private sectors, contributing to our country's development," the minister added.
