The collarbones are melting - Doctor

Salt, sugar, caffeine, and carbonated drinks can weaken bone strength and cause fractures.

According to Milli.Az, this was stated by Russian expert and endocrinologist Irina Zyatikova.

"Bone mass increases until the age of 25-30, after which mineral density gradually decreases. Salty foods lead to calcium loss from the bones, while sugar causes weakening of the bone tissue."

The doctor warned that more than two cups of coffee a day and dark carbonated drinks, especially cola, are dangerous for bone health. Alcohol also disrupts the absorption of calcium and vitamin D.

"The formula is simple: calcium + vitamin D + magnesium + vitamin K + movement = healthy bones."

Zyatikova emphasized that the main diet to protect bones should include the following: vegetables, fruits, quality protein, healthy fats, and dairy products rich in calcium. Additionally, physical activity, walking, running, dancing, and strength training ensure bone strength.
