The results of the audit on the management of state funds and other assets by "Azerbaijan Television and Radio Broadcasting" JSC have been disclosed.
Medianews.az reports, citing APA, that this is reflected in the “Opinion of the Accounting Chamber of the Republic of Azerbaijan on the draft state budget of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2026.”
It was noted that as a result of the audit, it was determined that "AzTV" JSC formalized and paid, under the name of honorarium, the funds that should have been paid as wages for the performance of labor functions to employees working based on employment contracts (a total of 26.0 million manat, including 11.3 million manat in 2023, 11.6 million manat in 2024, and 3.1 million manat in the first quarter of 2025). This was due to the misclassification of employment relations as civil-law relations, causing discrepancies with the conditions of the Labor Code and the Tax Code, and as a result, the full deduction of mandatory social contributions was not made, characterized by limiting the social security rights of employees.
