A news circulating on internet resources caught my attention. Russian philosopher Alexander Dugin believes: “Migrants must accept Christianity and become ethnic Russians to stay in Russia. That is, if they become Christians, they will turn into ethnic Russians.”
Such unusual calls from Dugin indicate the pathetic state of Russia. It was the result of such a sick and fearful regime that aggressive attitudes towards representatives of the peoples living in Russia and diaspora organizations have continued from time to time.
In the summer months of this year, with the attacks against Azerbaijanis in Yekaterinburg, Russia revealed its true nature. It became clear once again how dangerous it is to live and do business in this country. There can be no explanation for Russia’s such criminal policy against migrants. This country has never felt and will never feel responsible for any tragedy it causes or for its blood-curdling actions.
In the attacks against Azerbaijanis in Yekaterinburg, Russia demonstrated its particular repression. At nights, doors were knocked on, innocent, defenseless people were beaten and dragged into cars. The Russian baton came into play, and insults were as cheap as a penny.
Observations show that this country will eventually sink in the swamp it has created. I wrote this before and repeat it again. It is necessary to create a very favorable business environment in Azerbaijan, in the territories liberated from occupation, for our compatriots who own large investments in Russia, and for ordinary citizens who go there in search of bread and livelihood. These Azerbaijanis are Russia’s only leverage to pressure Azerbaijan. Because this country’s opportunities to pressure Azerbaijan in other spheres are limited. It is precisely through this lever that this regime should be deprived.
