Australian swimmer at the World Cup has set a record

Australian swimmer Lani Pallister set a record at the World Cup held in Toronto, Canada.

"Report" reports citing foreign media that the 23-year-old athlete accomplished this in the 800 meters freestyle swim.

Pallister completed the distance in 7 minutes 54 seconds, breaking the record held by American Katie Ledecky since 2022 (7 minutes 57.42 seconds).

It should be noted that L. Pallister is a two-time world champion and also a five-time winner of world championships held for short distances.
