The United States government constantly monitors holders of U.S. visas and cancels them if any violations of the law are detected.

"Currently, 55 million people have U.S. visas and they are constantly monitored. If they break the law, their visa will be canceled," said a statement by State Department representative Ian Bateson.
Y. Bateson emphasized that the presidential administration considers visas not as a right, but as a privilege.
The State Department spokesperson said that in 2025, the agency canceled 100,000 visas, which is twice as many as the figure for 2024. Among those canceled were 8,000 student visas and 2,500 work visas.
On January 14, the U.S. State Department suspended the issuance of immigrant visas to citizens of 75 countries, including Russia. This decision will come into effect on January 21 and will remain in force indefinitely.
