The winners of the Nikon Comedy Wildlife Awards 2025 have been announced.
Medianews.az reports that this year, nearly 10,000 photos were submitted from 109 countries. This is a record in the competition’s 10-year history.
The competition was founded in 2015 by British photographer Paul Joynson-Hicks.
One of the photos that attracted special attention from the judges was a frame titled “So where is my nest?”
The main prize of the competition was awarded to the photo titled “Jack a high five” taken in Rwanda. The photo depicts a young male gorilla performing a show on misty mountains. The photo was taken by Mark Meth Cohn.
In the youth category (up to 16 years old), the first place was won by a frog photo titled “Reluctant Baptism,” taken in the state of Maine, USA.
Among photographers up to 25 years old, the winning photo was by Dutch photographer Paula Rustemeier, titled “To the dance floor!,” depicting playing golden foxes.
Additionally, photos featuring a gray squirrel whose hair looks disheveled, an agile diving bird, and noisy seabirds in Norway capturing interesting moments have also gained great admiration from the audience.
