“Currently, unfavorable weather and road conditions are observed for road traffic participants in the capital and other cities and districts. The current situation directly affects the safety of road traffic and requires higher attention and responsibility from everyone.”
Medianews.az reports that the Main State Traffic Police Department (BDYP) has released this information.
It was especially noted that due to the current weather conditions, the probability of slipperiness on the road surface is very high:
“In some areas, especially on snowy road surfaces, slipperiness increases even more, which makes it difficult to control vehicles and raises the risk of accidents.
Therefore, we kindly ask drivers to be extremely careful while driving, to maintain a safe distance from the vehicle moving ahead, to strictly adhere to speed limits, to avoid sudden maneuvers, and to fully comply with traffic rules.
At the same time, we also ask pedestrians to cross roads only at designated crossings, to take into account the slippery road surface, to pay special attention to approaching vehicles, and to always prioritize their own safety.”
The agency called on all road users to be alert, act carefully, and show mutual understanding:
“Only by adhering to traffic rules and being cautious is it possible to prevent potential risks.”
