A delegation from Azerbaijan will participate in the funeral ceremony of Iran's former Supreme Leader Seyyed Ali Khamenei.
Medianews.az reports that the delegation includes Milli Majlis Speaker Sahiba Gafarova, Deputy Prime Minister Shahin Mustafayev, Prime Minister of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Jabbar Musayev, and other officials.
It should be noted that Ali Khamenei's farewell ceremony will be held on July 4-5 at the Mosalla Complex in Tehran, and the body will then be sent to the city of Qom.
After the farewell ceremony in Qom, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei will, according to his will, be buried in Mashhad on July 9.
Recall that Seyyed Ali Khamenei was killed on February 28 along with close family members during a joint attack by the US and Israel on Tehran. Afterwards, his son Mojtaba Khamenei was elected in his place.
