The journalist stated that she received a call from the Ministry of Internal Affairs' Cybercrime Division informing her that the cyberfraudster had been detained.
Ləman Ələşrəfqızı said that the money obtained through fraud was returned to her card.
It should be noted that the well-known journalist Ləman Ələşrəfqızı fell victim to cyberfraud the day before yesterday.
She said that an unknown person, using a fake Telegram account created in the name of Ümid Party chairman İqbal Ağazadə, asked her for money:
"That person wrote using İqbal Ağazadə’s name, 'Ms. Ləman, I am in the hospital, there is no money on my card. If you have 300 manats, send it, I will return it in 2-3 hours.' Without asking anything, I said, 'Yes, chief, Mr. İqbal.' Then he asked for 420 more manats, and I sent the 300 manats I had on my card as well." The journalist became the next victim of fraud by sending a total of 600 manats.
