A new built-in feature has been introduced in the Windows 11 operating system.
Medianews.az, referring to Lent.az, reports that the information was published on the official website of Microsoft.
How does the speed test work?
The feature is directly integrated into the taskbar. To start the test, the user right-clicks the network icon and selects the "Check internet speed" (Perform speed test) section.
After that, the system automatically opens the default browser and measures the connection speed. The service supports connections via Ethernet, Wi-Fi, and mobile networks.
According to the developers, this innovation significantly simplifies the diagnosis of internet problems and eliminates the need to search for additional sites.
Who can use it?
Currently, the feature is available in the preliminary (preview) version of Windows 11 and is accessible only to participants in the Windows Insider program. The update is planned to be gradually rolled out among test users.
Other innovations
With the KB5077241 update, additionally the system has received a quick system recovery feature, expanded settings for the webcam, backup options at system login, and new emojis.
The release for all users of the stable version is expected after the testing phase is completed and potential errors are fixed.
It should be recalled that previously Windows 11 users experienced issues when installing the KB5077181 update. That update caused an endless restart problem on some devices.
