Today, a virtual signing ceremony of a memorandum of understanding between the US and Iran will be held with the participation of US Vice President Jay Dee Vance and Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Ghalibaf.
Medianews.az reports that this was announced by Saudi Arabia's "Al Arabiya" television channel.
The channel emphasizes that the memorandum is still in the preparation stage and its details are not clear. Essentially, it is only a framework agreement ensuring two facts:
"The cessation of war and the opening of the Strait of Hormuz, and the lifting of the US blockade on Iranian ports. Everything else will be subject to negotiations over the next two months." (qafqazinfo)
